Octopus in flower, ball and block: what to specify

Our octopus archive contains several presentations. Flower form arranges the cleaned whole animal with the arms spread around the body. Ball form keeps the animal compact. A block combines product in a frozen unit. The presentation name describes the format; it does not replace a written specification.

Grade, cleaning and net weight

The Indonesian flower-octopus files include 500–1,000 g, 1,000–2,000 g and 2,000 g+ examples. A separate baby-octopus specification uses pieces per kilogram and 2 kg blocks. Always compare the same grade basis, cleaned condition and net weight. Ask for the species, glaze declaration, carton and current lot photographs with your enquiry. These examples describe documented formats, not current stock.
