FrozenFish at Conxemar 2026, on the Indonesia pavilion in Vigo
David Bertran represented FrozenFish at Conxemar in Vigo, on the Indonesia pavilion and in collaboration with the Indonesian Embassy in Spain: meetings with Indonesian exporters, trade representatives and European buyers, all around one idea, seafood from Indonesia.

A counter on the Indonesia pavilion
Every October the frozen seafood trade meets in Vigo. Conxemar, held at the IFEVI exhibition centre, is one of the main fairs for the industry in Europe: producers, processors, importers and distributors under one roof, and the place where a good part of the season’s business starts.
This year FrozenFish was there in collaboration with the Indonesian Embassy in Spain, with our own counter on the Indonesia pavilion in Hall 4. David Bertran led our presence at the fair. The stand carried one line under the logo: seafood from Indonesia.

Working alongside the Embassy
The pavilion brought together Indonesian exporters and the country’s trade representatives, among them the Indonesian Trade Promotion Center in Barcelona, under the banner of the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia. For us it meant sharing a stand with the institutions that support Indonesia’s seafood exports, and showing European buyers what a partner in Spain adds: one point of contact between Indonesian producers and their market.

The pavilion’s own screens made the scale clear: about seven million Indonesians work directly in fisheries and aquaculture. Behind each product on a European menu there is a long chain of fishers, processing plants and cold stores, and that chain is what we work with every day.
Meetings at the fair
The value of a fair like Conxemar is in the conversations. Over the fair we met Indonesian exporters, trade representatives, and buyers from Spain and the rest of Europe looking for reliable supply of cephalopods, fish and crustaceans.

The questions were the ones we hear every season: specifications and sizes, certifications, the cold chain and lead times. Answering them face to face, next to the people who represent Indonesian producers, is what makes these days worth it.
What comes next
Our thanks to the Indonesian Embassy in Spain and the whole pavilion team for having us. We left Vigo with a full notebook and a clear task for the coming weeks.
If we met in Vigo, we are following up on every conversation. If you could not make it this year and want to talk about Indonesian seafood for your market, write to us at sales@frozenfish.io.
